SOMERSET, PA – May 6, 2015 – Redesigned and reintroduced today, the DeVilbiss iFill® Personal Oxygen Station was updated with improved reliability and durability in mind. Continuously improving quality, DeVilbiss has made several updates to the iFill system’s design over the past few years.
“Our improved iFill system makes oxygen therapy convenient for the patient and the provider,” said Jim Clement, Director of Global Product Management - Respiratory Solutions for DeVilbiss Healthcare. “Over the last several years we have significantly improved our production and supply chain processes; as well, we have implemented a number of internal design improvements, leading to a much more reliable unit. The most recent and visible change is a new all-black cabinet that also helps to hide scuffs and marks common with use and deliveries of the unit.”
In July of 2013, production of the iFill system returned to DeVilbiss headquarters in Somerset, Pa. from China. Because of this move, DeVilbiss was able to expand its workforce. Now made in the USA*, the iFill system delivers improved quality and dependability.
The iFill Personal Oxygen Station is intended for use in supplying pressurized oxygen to fill oxygen cylinders for patients’ ambulatory use. The device is intended to provide 93 percent (±3 percent) oxygen. This device can be used in homes, nursing homes and patient care facilities.
Allowing patients to safely and conveniently fill portable cylinders in their own homes, the iFill system provides greater freedom for an active lifestyle. The system allows healthcare providers to adopt a non-delivery or limited delivery business model to serve more patients without adding staff or costly services.
The iFill system provides the flexibility to fill most cylinder sizes including M4, M6, ML6, C, D and E, using the PulseDose Oxygen Conserving Device interface or Regulator interface. DeVilbiss iFill cylinders are also available with a standard 870 Post Valve in sizes M4, M6, ML6, C, D and E for use with any conserving device or regulator.
